KIEV, Oct. 11 - Ukraine's unified power system produced 135.942 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-September, 9.7% more than 2009, the Fuel and Energy Ministry reported.

Nuclear power plants generated 64.428 billion kWh of electricity in the period (6.9% more year-on-year), thermal electric stations and combined heat and power plants produced 55.438 billion kWh (up 11.4%), hydroelectric stations - 10.579 billion kWh (up 20.7%), and communal heat and power plants and block stations – 5.493 billion kWh (up 8.7%).
