MOSCOW, Oct. 11 - The international consortium Sea Launch is planning for the first time since its reorganization due to bankruptcy to resume launching the Zenit-3SL carrier rockets from a sea platform in the Pacific Ocean in late 2011, President of Rocket Space Corporation Energia Vitaly Lopota told journalists.
"All political conditions for resuming launches under the Sea Launch program have been overcome. All commissions have been passed and the U.S. license has been received for 70 launches. There are a sufficient number of contracts for satellite launches. The first launch is due at the end of next year," he said.
