KIEV, Oct. 6 – Now that another increase of social standards has gone into effect as of Oct. 1, the average pension in Ukraine is UAH 1,103, Labor and Social Policy Minister Vasyl Nadraha reported.

The minister noted that according to the national budget for 2010, the living wage from October 1 grew to UAH 861 and that for disabled people it is UAH 723. Due to this, the level of pensions in the country has risen.

"As a result, taking into account the new social standards, the average pension as of October 1 grew to UAH 1,103", he said.
