KIEV, Oct. 5 – The construction of facilities at Chernobyl nuclear power plant will cost EUR 1.55 billion, the press service of First Deputy Prime Minister Andriy Kliuyev said.

"The Assembly of Donors on September 28, 2010 presented an improved estimate of the cost of realizing projects at Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, which is about EUR 1.55 billion," reads a press release.

The press service said that due to this, the donor countries would need to invest an additional EUR 550-600 million in the Chernobyl Shelter fund.
