MOSCOW, Oct. 4 - Ukraine's nuclear power plant state operator EnergoAtom and Russia's Atomenergomash, controlled by the state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom, have reached an agreement to set up a consortium to launch local production of equipment for nuclear power plants.

The agreement was reached by the Russian-Ukrainian working group for atomic machine-building in Moscow and is expected to be signed in October at the next meeting of the working group in Ukraine, Atomenergomash has said.
