KIEV, Oct. 4 – Prices of gasoline and diesel fuel in Ukraine could grow soon, and the pace of growth could be several kopecks per week, according to Kiev-based Psyche research center.
"Despite the admonitions of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, retail prices of gasoline and diesel fuel will have grounds to change direction of their movement soon," reads the report.
The key factors pushing fuel prices upwards are the weakening of the dollar and the high official prices of Ukrainian oil refineries, for which the re-calculation of retail prices gives rises of from 6% (for high-octane gasoline) to 15% (for diesel fuel) at filling stations, the experts said.
