KIEV, Sept. 23 – Austria wants to deepen economic relations with Ukraine, Austrian Federal President Heinz Fischer said at a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Viktor Yanukovych in New York on Wednesday, the press office of the Ukrainian president reported.

"Austria is closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine. We want to deepen our relations in the economic sphere," Fischer said, adding that there are significant opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
