KIEV, Sept. 20 – Ukrainian authorities and Ukrainian corporations July 1, 2010 through July 1, 2011 are to pay $42.1 billion on foreign liabilities (without interest), or over $3.5 billion on average every month, the National Bank of Ukraine said.
"The amount of short-term foreign debt with remaining maturity as of the end of the first half of 2010 was $42.1 billion (40.3% of Ukraine's overall gross foreign debt)…In the first half of 2010, foreign debt due in the next four quarters grew (by $5.2 billion) again (after a decrease in 2009)," reads an analytical report by the NBU.
