BEIJING, Sept. 3 - Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Wen Jiabao has stressed the importance of economic cooperation with Ukraine.

"It is very important that our countries are engaged in comprehensive cooperation in trade, the economy, investment, and agriculture," he said at a meeting with Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych in Beijing on Friday.

He described the talks held between Yanukovych and Chinese President Hu Jintao as "thorough and friendly."
