KIEV, Sept. 1 – The Cabinet of Ministers has ordered the Education and Science Ministry of Ukraine and the National Aviation University to consider the possibility of designing domestic pilotless planes and issue a government order for pilot training in Ukraine.

"Today the first vice premier charged lecturers and scientists of the National Aviation University with two tasks, which we will realize together, I mean you [NAU] and the Education Ministry. The first one is to design domestic pilotless planes for surveying large pipelines, oil pipelines and gas pipelines," said Ukrainian Education and Science Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk, who was speaking at celebratory events to mark Knowledge Day and the beginning of the academic year at NAU on Wednesday. He added that if such offer would be competitive, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine would issue a corresponding government order for NAU.
