KIEV, Sept. 1 – The increase of natural gas prices for households will not affect the welfare of Ukrainians citizens, as for most families the price of gas is to grow by less than UAH 20 per month, according to Oleh Ahrba, the chairman of the trade union of gas company workers.

"According to our calculations, for families who live in tenement-houses or private houses with gas stoves, gas water heaters or gas boilers and consume up to 2,500 cubic meters of gas, the increase would be UAH 19.50 per month on average. According to statistics, this category now includes over 86% of Ukrainian families," said Ahrba.
