KIEV, Aug. 31 – President Viktor Yanukovych's visit to Germany will serve as an impetus to more active relations between Ukraine and Germany if reform is conducted and terms of cooperation are changed, said Nico Lange, director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's office in Ukraine.
"Potential in the economy, the energy sector and the sphere of the visa regime will be realized if the conditions in Ukraine change. I think the German side is currently taking seriously all that was said, and it will monitor the situation in the coming months as to whether reform is really conducted and standards are changed. In Germany's opinion, it is impossible to realize cooperation in the economic sector and other areas without this," he said at a press conference in Kiev on Tuesday.
