KIEV, Aug. 30 – Consumer confidence in Ukraine fell by 8.1 percentage points in July against the background of worsening economic expectations, according to a survey by the International Centre for Policy Studies and GfK Ukraine.
"The government's plans are spoiling consumer confidence in Ukraine. Ukraine's consumers greeted the second month of summer 2010 with an 8.1 percentage point plunge in the Consumer Confidence Index (CCI), which fell to 86.4 percentage points. This is the second month that this downward trend in consumer confidence has been seen, after three quarters of steady improvement," said ICPS.
