KIEV, Aug. 30 – Residents of apartments that have less than 40 square meters per person will not have to pay property taxes, Deputy Prime Minister for Euro 2012 Borys Kolesnikov has said in an interview with the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror Weekly) newspaper.

"The working model of the tax on property is the following: [up to] 40 square meters per person are not taxed. We don't have many families of three people whose apartment is more than 120 square meters. Each extra square meter would be taxed UAH 10. This is a mild rate," he said.
