KIEV, Aug. 18 – Ukraine's expected wheat and barley export quota of 2.5 million tons until the end of this year is too low, which will lead to a glut on the domestic market, losses to grain traders and grain losses due to a lack of storage facilities, according to the Ukrainian Grain Association.
"The announced size of the export quota is unjustifiably low, and its introduction could lead to negative consequences for the market and Ukraine as a whole," reads an open letter of the UGA sent to Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and published on Wednesday.
