KIEV, Aug. 17 – The electronic database of the UkrSEPRO national certification and licensing system has been destroyed, Serhiy Dorotych, the first deputy director general of state-run Ukrainian R&D and Training Center for Standardization, Certification and Quality, told reporters on Tuesday.
Bohdan Lavreniuk, the head of the center's legal department, said that on August 11 a commission headed by the center's acting director general, Volodymyr Stuley, in the presence of Oleh Povolotsky, the head of the State Committee for technological regulation and consumer policy (who was dismissed on the same day under a cabinet resolution) broke into the server room housing the main UkrSEPRO server, after which unknown persons worked on the hardware.
