KIEV, Aug. 12 – The United States Department of Agriculture has downgraded its grain harvest forecast for Ukraine in 2010 by 6.2 million tons, to 38.75 million tons.
According to the USDA, in particular, the wheat harvest was downgraded from 20 million tons to 17 million tons, which allowed it to decrease its export forecast in the next marketing year from eight million tons to six million tons.
The United States experts also downgraded the harvest forecast for fodder grain by 3.2 million tons, to 21.75 million tons.
