KIEV, Aug. 12 – The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in commodities in H1 grew by 1.97% year-over-year, to $2.515 billion, according to the State Statistics Committee.
The value of exports of goods from Ukraine in January through June grew by 33.5%, to $23.098 billion, while imports rose by 29.6%, to $25.613 billion.
As reported earlier, the deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in commodities shrank by 8.3% in the first five months of 2010. Exports grew by 31.4%, to $18.769 billion, while imports rose by 25.9%, to $20.869 billion.
