KIEV, Aug. 2 – The Finance Ministry and Chief Audit Department, jointly with law-enforcement bodies, are to check the activities of state-run banks to clarify the reasons for the appearance of bad credit debts.
"We are to check all circumstances of the issue of troubled credits by state-run banks. The decision was made at a meeting of the commission chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Volodymyr Sivkovych," reads a posting on the cabinet's Web site.
