KIEV, July 30 – The companies of the largest private vertically integrated energy holding in Ukraine – DTEK – in January-June 2010 increased coal extraction by 13.4% or by 1.148 million tons year-over-year, to 9.714 million tons.
A press release by DTEK issued on Thursday says that power coal extraction over the period grew by 23% or by 1.6 million tons, to 8.562 million tons, while coking coal extraction was down by 28.2% or 451,600 tons, to 1.152 million tons.
