KIEV, July 23 – Ukraine’s grain exports over the next 12 months may drop to 16-18 million metric tons, down from 21 million metric tons exported over the past 12 months, Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) reported.
UGA downgraded its earlier forecast according to which Ukraine was supposed to export 18-20 million metric tons over the nest 12 months.
Ukraine is expected to produce about 42 million metric tons of grain in the marketing season of July 2010-June 2011, which is a “good” harvest, according to UGA.
