KIEV, July 22 – President Viktor Yanukovych has signed a law adopted by Parliament on July on subscribers' retaining their phone number, reads a posting on the official Web site of the president on Thursday.

MP Yuriy Moroko (Regions Party faction) and Vitaliy Korzh (BYT faction) drew up the law on telecommunications in November 2008 to replace a similar draft law adopted by Parliament in June 2007 but quashed by presidential veto.
