KIEV, July 15 – Kiev Metro municipal enterprise deems UAH 2.4 to be economically justified fare at the metro, first deputy chairman of Kiev municipal state administration Oleksandr Popov told a news briefing.
"The calculations I saw in course of our meeting with the leadership of the underground railway systems showed they believed two point forty-two hryvnias to be an economically feasible fare. We do not put the question so," Popov said and stressed that Kiev administration had no intention of mounting an initiative to raise the fare for Kievans.
Popov recalls a court order about the raising of the fare to UAH 2.
This judgement, as he emphasised, can be enured only after a corresponding decision by the enforcement service.
