KIEV, July 9 - Ukraine will need to continue working with the International Monetary Fund if it wants EUR 610 million in aid from the European Union, EU President Herman van Rompuy said Friday at a joint Kiev press conference with President Viktor Yanukovych.
"Reaching agreement between Ukraine and the IMF on a new reserve crediting agreement is extremely important for the extension of aid by the European Union to Ukraine. Reaching agreement with the IMF will pave the way to the extension of EUR 610 million in macro-financial aid on the part of the European Union," van Rompuy said.
