KIEV, July 2 – Ukraine and the United States are considering the possibility of optimizing the efforts of the two countries on their cooperation in the energy sector, particularly in nuclear energy and the extraction of energy resources.
"Today we agreed to strengthen our efforts in attracting the American experience and investment in the energy sector, which is a priority for us. In particular, the issue concerns the use of such promising areas as the extraction of energy resources and cooperation in the modernization of the Ukrainian gas transport system," Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko said at meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Kiev on Friday.
