KIEV, July 1 – The opposition is planning to initiate an independent international investigation in connection with a Stockholm Arbitration Tribunal ruling obliging Naftogaz Ukrayiny to return 11 billion cubic meters of gas and pay a fine to Swiss-registered gas trader RosUkrEnergo.
"We will initiate an independent international investigation into the circumstances of the adoption of a ruling by the Stockholm court of arbitration, as well as the actions of officials and lawyers in Ukraine during the legal process and consider the involvement of [Ukrainian President Viktor] Yanukovych, [Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola] Azarov and other officials in this case," she said at a meeting of the opposition government in Kiev on Thursday.
