NOVO-OGARYOVO, June 29 – Russia has sent a draft intergovernmental agreement on oil transit to Ukraine, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin told journalists.
"An issue of oil transit to the Yuzhny port was discussed. Russia paid attention to cutting of a tariff by Ukraine. Our figures are the following: supplies via Novorossiysk cost $47.09 per ton and via Yuzhny port - $53 per ton," Sechin said.
"It would be hard to involve Russian and other cargo shippers without creating economic instruments. The draft intergovernmental agreement on oil transit has been handed to Ukraine. We expect that soon it would be supported, and this had been discussed with [Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister] Yuriy Boyko," he said.
