KIEV, June 25 – Deputy Prime Minister Volodymyr Sivkovych has described as a provocation the statement by the former head of the state-run arms and military hardware export and import company UkrSpetsExport, Serhiy Bondarchuk, that main supplies of arms to Georgia were made in 2007 under the premiership of Viktor Yanukovych.
"At that time, it was [former] President Viktor Yuschenko who controlled UkrSpetsExport and personally gave instructions about arms shipments to Georgia. He, in fact, switched the state-owned company to the status of 'manual control, making it hostage to his own desires,'" Sivkovych was quoted as saying by his press service.
