KIEV, June 18 – Laboratory quality tests of fuel at Ukrainian filling stations have not been conducted since the start of 2009 due to a lack of financing, the state committee for technical regulation and consumer policy of Ukraine has told Interfax-Ukraine.
Fuel market experts confirmed to the agency that the reason of the absence of control over the fuel quality was improper financing.
"There is one reason: all tests are done using budget funds, and there is no budget financing," said the director of the A-95 consulting group (Kiev), Serhiy Kuyun.
