KIEV, June 17 – The introduction of gasoline taxes will increase the tax load on vehicle owners but will not be an additional revenue source for the construction of roads, according to experts polled by Interfax-Ukraine.

The experts were commenting on a recent initiative by Housing and Utilities Minster of Ukraine Oleksandr Popov.

"If the current taxes for vehicle owners are scrapped, then a new tax will become only an additional load for ordinary consumers," a partner of P.S.P.Audit Company, Dmytro Sushko said.
