KIEV, June 17 – Recent strong wind in western regions of Ukraine have significantly damaged sown crops, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said.
"Only last night about 150 hectares of grain crops were damaged," he told reporters on Tuesday evening.
According to Prysiazhniuk, the Agriculture Ministry is calculating the size of losses caused by the stormy weather, and it plans to call on the government to allocate funds to compensate for the losses of farmers in western regions.
