KIEV, June 9 - Polskie Girnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGNiG, Poland) wants to increase annual imports of gas from Ukraine from the current five million cubic meters to 200 million cubic meters, a newspaper has reported.
According to an article in the Polish Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper, today PGNiG imports small gas volumes – from four to five million cubic meters per year, which are mainly imported for the needs of residents of border regions. Gas is also imported to Poland through pipelines belonging to Poland's Gaz-System gas operator.
