MOSCOW, June 8 – Russia's Rosatom is ready to take part in the production of nuclear fuel in Ukraine, finish construction of Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant and cooperate with Ukraine's Turboatom, Rosatom head Sergey Kirienko said on the Echo of Moscow radio station.
He said that soon a decision is expected on Russia's participation in the completion of two reactors at the Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant.
"We're in talks now, and if everything goes well, we'll finish them in the near future and participate in the completion of two reactors at Khmelnytsky NPP. This represents billions of dollars of investment in Ukraine. The plant's readiness is very high," he said, adding that it would be difficult for Ukraine to achieve the completion of the reactors independently.
