KIEV, June 3 - Ukrainian weapons exports in 2009 totaled $214 million, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).
Ukraine took 14th place in the SIPRI world rating of arms exporters, the same as in 2008, with $233 million. Ukraine was seventh in 2007 with $774 million, according to the SIPRI's updated information.
In 2009, the leader in the SIPRI world rating was the United States with exports worth $6.795 billion. Russia was second with $4.469 billion, Germany third with $2.473 billion, France fourth with exports worth $1.851 billion and Britain was fifth with exports worth $1.024 billion.
