KIEV, May 31 – Donetsk-based Industrial Union of Donbas Corporation (ISD) has intensified sales of Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) released from the upgrade of hazardous production facilities of its steelmaking subsidiaries under the Kyoto protecol.

An ISD press release says that the coropration is currently implementing four projects, among which is technical requirement and upgrade of Alchevsk Metallurgical Works (Luhansk region) through the builidng of new convertors and a continuous casting machine manufactured by Siemens VAI. The total gains from the sale of 900,000 CERs were EUR 20 million.
