KIEV, May 28 - TNK-BP, the Russian oil company, expanded in Ukraine’s gasoline retail sector by acquiring 118 gasoline filling stations and eight oil depots throughout the country, the company reported Friday.
The assets, which also include 122 land plots for building new gas pumps, were acquired for $313 million from Ukrainian gasoline retailer Vik Oil.
“During 10 years of its operation on the Ukrainian market TNK-BP has consistently invested in the development of its retail network,” German Khan, Executive Director of TNK-BP, said in a statement. “Acquisition of the Vik Oil group is a landmark event for our company, and the deal is in line with the strategy for expansion of our business in Ukraine.”
