KIEV, May 18 – Ukraine boosted electricity export by 40.5%, or 422.1 million kWh, January through April compared to the same period of 2009, to 1.464 billion kWh, the Fuel and Energy Ministry announced.
The increase the electricity supplies was due to the renewal of commercial electricity exports last year to Belarus, which accounted for 64% of all Ukrainian-generated electricity exports in the four months, the ministry said.
