KIEV, May 13 – The government of Ukraine is interested in signing an amicable agreement with Vanco, which demands that it be reimbursed for the cancellation of licenses for the exploration of the sea shelf in Kerch strait, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov reported.
"[The government] took away the license from Vanco, [as they] had been doing nothing on the shelf for two years and now they are demanding that Ukraine should pay for losses - these are billions of hryvnias," Azarov said speaking at a meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kiev on Thursday.
