KIEV, May 11 – Parliament has given preliminary approval to tax law amendments intended to generate an additional UAH 16.2 billion in revenues for the national budget every year.

A total of 242 out of a required 226 MPs voted for the shortened procedure to draft the bill for second reading.

Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn said the draft law would be considered next week, and called on MPs to submit their comments on the bill as soon as possible.
