KIEV, April 30 – President Viktor Yanukovych has called for developing cross-border and interregional cooperation with Belarus.

"We should address the issue of cross-border and interregional cooperation. Cooperation between our regions will help boost cross-border trade. It would also help in attracting investments," the Ukrainian president said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk.

Yanukovych thanked Lukashenko for the ratification in the Belarusian parliament of a decision on the demarcation of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.
