KIEV, April 20 – The losses of Antonov Airlines due to the closure of air space in almost 20 countries in Europe due to volcano eruption in Iceland last week amount to several million dollars, Antonov Airlines CEO Kostiantyn Lushakov told Interfax-Ukraine.
"From Friday all our flights to or from Europe were suspended: vacant and cargo-loaded planes are sitting at airports. Both the company and our clients suffer from losses that amount to several million dollars," he said, adding that the shares of European flights in the portfolio of the operator's orders is around 70%.
