KIEV, April 19 – Participation in the Taurus II rocket international program would allow a 25% rise in production at some leading companies in the sector, according to Yuriy Alekseyev, the head of the National Space Agency of Ukraine (NSAU).
Commenting on Ukraine's participation in international joint project to create spacecraft to service the International Space Station, he said that Yuzhmash (Dnipropetrovsk), which showed poor performance in 2009 due to the suspension of launches by the Sea Launch consortium, and which announced its bankruptcy, expects a 25% rise in production due to its participation in the Taurus II international rocket program.
