KIEV, April 19 – Slovakia is ready to participate in a project to modernize the Ukrainian gas transport system, Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak said at a meeting with Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

"The modernization of the gas transport system is extremely interesting to our country as a gas transit participant," Lajcak said in response to Azarov's proposal to participate on equal terms with Ukraine, Russia and the European Union in the modernization of the Ukrainian gas transport system.
