KIEV, April 8 – Kharkiv’s Turboatom, Ukraine’s sole producer of turbine equipment for hydroelectric, thermal and nuclear power plants, signed a contract with Eurasian Energy Corporation (EEC, Kazakhstan) in March on the shipment of equipment for unit six of Kazakhstan's Aksu thermal power plant.

The plant reported on Wednesday that as a part of the contract, Turboatom would replace a K-300-240 unit with a K-325 new generation turbine, and its capacity would grow by 25 MW, while its efficiency and working life would increase.
