KIEV, April 2 - Ukraine's steel industry boosted finished roll output 8% year-on-year in January-March to 6.755 million tons, the Industrial Policy Ministry announced.

Crude steel production jumped 16% to 8.064 million tons and pig iron grew 18% to 6.973 million tons.

The country produced 344,000 tons of steel pipes, up 4% year-on-year. Ukrainian coke production grew 13% to 4.546 million tons and hardware was up 25% to 58,000 tons. Scrap metal deliveries to Ukrainian steel mills rose 32% to 1.204 million tons.
