KIEV, March 30 – The hryvnia crisis has ended, according to analysts from Renaissance Capital Investment Group.
"We forecast a minimum appreciation of the Ukrainian currency - to UAH 7.50 per dollar – by late 2010. Nothing threatens the hryvnia, at least this year, irrespective of whether the program of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund goes on," reads a survey drawn up by the analysts.
The experts said that currently the parliamentary coalition is strong, and a technocratic government has been formed, so Ukraine's political prospects have improved in investors' eyes. The cabinet is to draw up and adopt the budget for 2010 soon, which will promote the resumption of the country's dialogue with the IMF, the analysts said.
