KIEV, March 30 – Ukraine's GDP growth in 2010 will be 3.4%, and in 2011 it could accelerate to 4.7%, following a 15% fall in 2009, according to experts of investment companies, banks and nongovernmental analytical centers that took part in a March consensus forecast drawn up the aegis the Economy Ministry.
"Experts are unanimous regarding the positive pace of the economy's development in 2010, which would be supported by expansion of external demand... The average GDP growth in 2010 grew by one percentage notch, to 3.4%. For the third time, experts have revised upwards their expectations for 2010," reads a posting on the ministry's Web site.
