KIEV, March 24 – Ukraine may harvest from 45 million to 48 million metric tons of grain in the current year compared to 46 million tons in 2009, Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk predicted.
"We expect the harvest to be between 45 million and 48 million tons," he said on Wednesday evening.
The minister said he hopes that despite the delay in the harvest campaign this year because of the weather conditions, Ukraine will manage to sow spring crops in time.
