KIEV, March 22 – Israel's Blue Sphere Corporation has signed two contracts with two landfills in Ukraine to burn waste methane gas.
A company report issued last week says the total investment for the two landfill projects is estimated at $3 million, not including costs of a power generation system.
The press release says that the total estimated Certified Emission Reductions (CER) for the lifespan of the two landfills, 13 years, in Ukraine is 1.05 million. Of this amount, Blue Sphere expects to net 855,000 CERs.
