Fitch outlook on Ukraine improves to ‘Stable,’ from ‘Negative’
Journal Staff Report

LONDON, March 17 - Fitch Ratings has revised its outlook on Ukraine to Stable from Negative.

Fitch simultaneously affirmed Ukraine's Long-term foreign and local currency Issuer Default Ratings (IDRs) at 'B-' and Short-term foreign currency IDR at 'B'. Ukraine's Country Ceiling is affirmed at 'B-'.

"The passing of elections and formation of a government have lessened risks of a prolonged period of post-election policy uncertainty and further intensification of macroeconomic and financial instability," said David Heslam, Director in Fitch's Sovereign Group.
